Business Units [Enterprise]

Purpose: model subsidiaries, regions, or client accounts under one Enterprise workspace, each with its own posture, compliance, and risk scoping, with roll-up visibility for the parent.

This is now a top-level page — /business-units — not "Settings → Business Units." There is no Business Units card on the Settings hub.

Creating a business unit

  1. Go to Business Units.
  2. Add one, optionally choosing a parent to nest it under.
  3. Save.

Data scoping

Each business unit maintains its own posture score, compliance view, and risk register scoped to its assets and controls. A user scoped to one BU cannot see another's data unless explicitly granted cross-BU access.

  • Users & Roles — BU administrator delegation lives on this page's user assignment flow, alongside ordinary role assignment.

This page is the product manual, published from the repository at docs/user/admin/business-units.md. Customers read the same text inside CMDash under Help. Last updated October 7, 2026.
