CA-5 Plan of action and milestones

FedRAMP Moderate · Rev 5

a. Develop a plan of action and milestones for the system to document the planned remediation actions of the organization to correct weaknesses or deficiencies noted during the assessment of the controls and to reduce or eliminate known vulnerabilities in the system; and b. Update existing plan of action and milestones [frequency] based on the findings from control assessments, independent audits or reviews, and continuous monitoring activities.

Quoted verbatim from NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 (OSCAL catalog), which is in the public domain.

Mappings are CMDash’s own, seeded with the product and shown on both frameworks they connect. In the product they mean evidence you attach here also counts against the controls listed above.

These connectors produce data relevant to FedRAMP Moderate’s Assessment & Authorization family, which is the granularity CMDash publishes — there is no pre-built per-control mapping, and claiming one would be inventing it. You decide which evidence answers which control.

Track CA-5 with evidence behind it

In CMDash this control is a row with an owner, a status, uploaded evidence kept with its full history, and an export an assessor can read.
