Maritime cyber applicability check

An applicability check reads a vessel's type, tonnage, voyages, build contract date, flag and passenger figures and shows which instruments are likely to apply, with the citation for each. It is not legal advice.

Answer what you know and leave the rest as "Not sure". Where an answer depends on something the check cannot see, it says "Needs review" and names what is missing, instead of guessing.

The check runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere unless you choose to send the result to CMDash with the form below it.

The vessel
The date the construction contract was signed.
Does the ship sail on international voyages?
Do voyages embark or disembark passengers in the United States?
Does the ship call at ports in the European Union?

Choose a vessel type and the screening appears here.

This is a screening aid, not legal advice. It reads the details you enter against the cited primary sources and says "needs review" where an answer depends on something it cannot see, such as your company, your class society or your flag administration. Confirm scope with them and with counsel before you rely on it.

Choose a vessel type and the screening becomes printable and sendable.
