Buy CMDash through AWS Marketplace and it bills on the AWS invoice you already have, draws down committed spend, and needs no new vendor paperwork. Your CMDash plan is set from the AWS entitlement.
Already subscribed on AWS? Open the subscription in your AWS Marketplace console and click Set up your account. That is what sends you back here with an activation link.
What you get. A CMDash organization on the hosted service, on the plan you subscribe to: Starter, Essentials or Command, each with a monthly and a 12-month term. Enterprise is sold as a private offer. Monitored vendors and AI runs are reported to AWS every hour, and the subscription and the metered units appear on your AWS invoice.
How it is delivered. Subscribe on AWS, follow the activation link back here, sign in as the owner of your organization and attach the subscription. Your plan follows the AWS entitlement from then on. Nothing to install and nothing to host.
What you get. The CMDash AMI and CloudFormation templates that run CMDash in your own AWS account, so your data stays in that account. An evaluation template launches one instance; the production template adds an Application Load Balancer with your ACM certificate and Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL 16. Encrypted storage, daily backups to S3, Session Manager access and in-app updates are included.
How it is delivered. Launch the stack from the template into your account. The AMI carries the images, so nothing is downloaded at first boot. Open the stack’s URL, register the first account and it becomes the owner. Choose Marketplace licensing at launch and CMDash checks your subscription with AWS License Manager through the instance role and takes its plan from it. The install guide lists every parameter and every outbound call.
You pick a plan on the AWS Marketplace listing and subscribe. AWS handles payment, your invoice and — if you have one — your committed-spend agreement.
AWS sends you here with a one-time activation link. You create your CMDash organization (or sign in to one you already own) and the subscription is attached to it. One AWS subscription belongs to exactly one CMDash organization.
CMDash reads your entitlement from AWS and sets your plan to match. Change the plan on AWS and CMDash follows within minutes — there is no second place to update, and no second invoice.
Metered units — monitored vendors and AI runs — are reported to AWS every hour for each active licence, and AWS bills them on your AWS invoice. Nothing is charged twice: an organization is billed by AWS or by us, never both.
Not on your own — an AWS subscription attaches to exactly one CMDash organization, and that is deliberate: it is what stops a subscription somebody else paid for being claimed elsewhere. Contact us and we will move it.
Your plan stays exactly as it is until the period you have paid for ends — cancelling starts a wind-down, it does not cut you off. When AWS finalises the cancellation your organization returns to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted.
Yes. If you would rather try CMDash before buying, start a trial and subscribe on AWS when you are ready — the trial organization can attach the subscription afterwards.
