Regulatory change management watches the sources that create obligations — regulators, legislatures, standards bodies, supervisory authorities — classifies what actually applies to your business, and drives the resulting control and policy changes to completion. In cyber the pace has become the point: DORA, NIS2, the EU AI Act, SEC disclosure rules, state privacy statutes and CMMC phase-ins all land inside the same planning cycle. The distinction that matters is between a news feed and an obligation register: the second tells you which control owner has work to do, and by when.

Becomes essential once you are multi-jurisdiction or in a supervised sector; a single-framework program can track this manually.

  • Turns "we did not know" into a dated, assigned obligation with an owner
  • Impact analysis links a rule change to the specific controls and policies it touches
  • Multi-jurisdiction coverage is impossible to maintain by hand past a couple of regimes
  • Early warning converts compliance from a fire drill into a planned workstream
  • An obligation register with evidence of monitoring is itself what supervisors ask to see
  • Feed volume without applicability filtering just relocates the problem
  • Financial-services-oriented vendors under-serve cyber and privacy regimes
  • Coverage claims are hard to verify until something is missed
  • Enterprise pricing that rarely makes sense below a real regulatory-affairs function
  • Automated applicability tagging still needs a human with jurisdictional judgement

No open-source regulatory-intelligence product exists, and the reason is structural: the value is a licensed, continuously curated corpus of regulatory sources, not the software around it. Self-built alternatives amount to RSS and agency-page scraping plus a lot of human triage, which works for a narrow set of known regulators and fails quietly outside it.

CMDash — the product this site sells — is listed as one of the options in this area; that listing exists so you can see the conflict of interest, it is not a claim about how it compares to the alternatives, and the listing itself carries no extra weight in how any option here is presented.
