NetBox
Reads devices, virtual machines, sites and the IP-address count from your NetBox instance with a read-only token, adds every device and VM to the asset register and the reconciled host inventory, and flags the records that need attention: offline or failed devices, devices without a primary IP, and devices with no role or tenant.
What CMDash reads
- Asset inventory (devices, VMs, sites, IPs)
- Endpoint inventory
Syncs only read from NetBox. Some integrations also support write-back actions on Command and Enterprise plans, such as opening a ticket or deactivating a user.
How you connect
An API key or token you create in the vendor console and enter in CMDash.
Once connected, CMDash syncs it every 4 hours by default. What it finds maps to your controls through rules you install or write.
